As you may or may not be aware, there is a recent security incident involving a Microsoft zero day attack tied to printer services.
You can find specific details about this vulnerability on Microsoft’s website.
Late last week, we proactively rolled out a change to mitigate this attack (we implemented a block to stop new printers from being added on servers). We made this change as Microsoft didn’t release a patch up until yesterday and then a further update today.
Microsoft has since released an emergency patch and we’ve pushed this out to all servers and computers. The one piece of good news is that the new Managed Security Services that was recently deployed to your servers, has built-in mechanisms to block this attack.
