Nucleus Joins Canada’s Cybersecurity Council

We’re excited to announce that our CTO, Karl Fulljames, has joined the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Cybersecurity Council—a national group of leaders focused on building a stronger, safer digital Canada.

The Council brings together experts from across industries to share perspectives, surface challenges, and co-create practical policy recommendations. It’s a space where both public and private voices come together to shape the future of cybersecurity in this country.

“It’s a privilege to be part of a group that’s thinking deeply about how we protect Canadian organizations and infrastructure,” said Karl. “We’re there to listen, learn, and contribute where we can.”

This is more than just a seat at the table. The Council meets regularly with federal agencies and government leaders to provide input on priority areas, including cyber talent development, procurement modernization, and cross-sector collaboration. While they may provide feedback on proposed legislation, such as the Critical Cyber Systems Protection Act, the broader focus is on long-term strategy, shared responsibility, and national resilience.

At Nucleus, we view cybersecurity as a collective effort. Karl’s role on the Council enables us to stay closely aligned with the conversations shaping Canada’s digital future—and to bring back ideas, insights, and opportunities that help our clients and partners stay ahead.

As these discussions continue, we’ll continue to share what we’re learning. If you have any cybersecurity challenges or ideas that you think deserve national attention, we’d love to hear from you.
