The #BCTECH Summit wrapped last week with a recording breaking turnout of 5,000 attendees at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Our very own Nucleus team members Rich & Lindsey were among the attendees checking out the latest tech innovations and research in virtual and augmented reality, cat robots, self driving cars and much more! More photos and updates below from our experience at this year’s #BCTECH Summit.
Two speakers that stood out at the Summit were Julia White from Microsoft and JB Straubel from Tesla. Both touching on innovative developments in their respective fields. Microsoft’s collaboration with Boeing, transitioning Boeing’s extensive portfolio of digital solutions to Microsoft Azure enabling the airline to solve business challenges by becoming more adaptive, innovative and intelligence-driven.
Tesla’s developments being the release of their solar paneled roof tiling, updates on the progress of the Tesla Gigafactory, Powerwall & Powerpack Energy for home and commercial use, and the Tesla Model 3 soon to be released this year.
It isn’t a tech summit without a giant metal puppet and flying drones! One of the most beautiful venues and convention centres in Vancouver, overlooking the water and mountains from Coal Harbour. Happy to have had the chance to attend, learn and connect with some amazing new people. Thanks for having us and can’t wait to attend next year!
